It's incredibly frustrating deciding which to choose lol. I've now tried Vue, Hulu live and YouTube tv.

Vue is my overall favorite. Has all the channels I watch on cable for the 50 dollar package and I really like the interface. It's the only one that felt like regular cable except it doesn't have CBS at all and only has NBC on demand. A no go for my gf

Hulu live has all the local channels and comes with the rest of Hulu's content but the interface is absolutely horrible. I mean horrible. Also no discovery or science channel. Also the sound and video are slightly off sometimes on local channels. It also lags ALOT on movies and is slow to buffer

Just started YouTube but it's just ok so far. Buffering takes too long it's annoying

Didn't try sling because of no local channels.

None of them feel like a polished product. PsVue DVR can't record a single show or past the scheduled time so you may miss the end of live events. Hulu interface has to be witnessed to be believed. Like trying to put a round peg through a piece of granite and their DVR sucks...just YouTube it. YouTube tv is meh with channels even thought they technically have more

An antenna gets us 40+ local channels.

This is the one I got in 2010 for the world cup. https://www.amazon.com/Winegard-HD7...:Winegard&rnid=2528832011&sr=8-10&ref=sr_1_10

I had a place in Ann Arbor, MI for work and no cable. The 2010 world cup was on Canadian tv and I bought this antenna to get the signal from Canada 50 miles away. I didn't even have the antenna roof mounted, it sat on the second floor in a spare bedroom. Had I mounted on the roof (with clear line of sight) and used a motor to rotate it, who knows how much further the range might have extended. As it is i watched the entire world cup in 1080i for free.

One thing you *MUST* do is put an amplifier *AT THE ANTENNA*. If you have more than 15 feet of coax between your antenna and TV you will lose received signal power to line loss. The motorola amp i had was $18.

    Good luck.

I started watching Impulse on YouTube. The first 3 episodes were free. I wanted to finish the season. They offered a free one month trial to their premium service. I didn't know they had original series so I decided to give it a try. I watched the ten episodes of Impulse which wasn't too bad but there doesn't seem to be much other original content yet other than the regular YouTube. Premium cuts out commercials in regular videos but most adblockers do that for free. I probably will end it after the free trial and maybe wait for more content.

For added content Hulu seems to be the best however after trying their free 7 day trial we didn't end up watching any of it. Looks like we're going with ps Vue and ordered a $30 Antenna for local channels. The beautiful thing is you can cancel anytime so if Hulu comes out with a must see program we can switch back to that for a month

I have also now tried everything and came to the exact same conclusion $50 Vue package with Netflix (no spotify) may eventually upgrade to get HBO and Showtime on Vue but for now it's good.
Also bought a $30 antenna so my gf can watch CBS and nbc
