I wouldn't be shocked if Lewis gets his ass beat for 3 rounds and scores another wild 3rd or 4th round finish. He's not the most technical or skilled fighter but he sure knows how to find a KO and is surprisingly hard to put away.

This is Cormier's fight to lose and if his hand wasn't injured i'd expect it to look like his fight with bigfoot but The Black Beast can never be counted out and it would be amazing to see him as a HW champ.

Yes. Lewis is a legitimate contender and is an easy fight. So what? Cormier has been fighting top competition non stop since the beginning, and is about to retire. Him fighting Lewis, and then Jones/Lesnar makes perfect sense.

He fought Rumble twice, Gus, Silva and Miocic and you have the stupidity to post that Cormier is taking the easy route against the HW that just earned a TS?

    How are you so blind.

Ummm it was early first round and we really didn’t see much other than that eye poke and the KO. Fair play to DC he won, but avoiding a rematch stand up guy like Stipe who has defended the HW title a record 3x is a coward move no matter how you wanna spin it.

He's fought animals his whole career and received hate from fans. He is the champ at HW and the #1 contender right now is unfortunately Lewis, so why rematch a guy that is a tougher matchup who you just knocked out in a round. He;s also gettin like really old, so you know what I give him the pass on take the easy fights for right now.

Lol. He has to make the miracle happen in the first (which could happen being HW and all) or it's not going to be pretty. Especially less than a month after a grueling fight he took a ton of damage in.

How is he even cleared to fight on this card, he must have gotten a medical no contact suspension after takeing like 200 shots to the head?

People respect the honesty. Honesty is rare in this world. Sounds like you don't value it much.

This is why politicians are dishonest. The hordes of idiots are too weak and impulsive to do anything but react without thought.

hes about to retire, and already made it clear before that he's all about collecting checks at this point.

STIPE DIDN'T CHOOSE. Over and over again he made it clear, as champ he wouldn't pick and choose his opponents. The UFC chose JDS over Werdum, probably to punish Werdum (he refused a short notice replacement when CBD-level Cain got pulled out of their fight, and wouldn't step in when Struve's injury left JDS opponentless). Don't get me wrong, Miocic was happy and eager to get the chance to avenge his loss. But it was the UFC that made that call. If they had gone with Werdum, so would Stipe.

Meanwhile, Cormier has been doing nothing BUT trying to pick and choose since he got the HW belt. Saying he would never fight with Blaydes, he was too "disappointed" with Gustaffson to fight him again, floating the idea of fighting Shogun for his LHW defense...

DC is no coward. But let's be honest. He hasn't been so much defending a title as arranging a retirement party. And it looks like he'll allow a gate crasher if the guy brings a big enough present and isn't liable to upstage the host.

Dangle a nice prize in front of a prizefighter and he'll take it. Don't see anything wrong.
