video footage of past fights , like BJJ back then nobody knew it and fell for it a lot same with his counter left , if Khabib didn't know Conor and fought he would be slept out cold .

The longer you fight at the top, the more difficult it becomes to win.

That's why longevity and consistency in championship reigns is the most impressive thing for a fighter to have.

I'm not so sure of that.

Conor DID hit Khabib flush a couple of times, and Khabib just walked right through it without even blinking. Dude has a chin.

I love Conor, his fight style and his personality, unfortunately for him his cardio is a gaping hole that's reared its ugly head around 4 times now, if you make it to late round two he's a different fighter completely, the power goes and he fights completely different and becomes rather hittable. Now the aura has gone and people know he's not unbeatable especially at lightweight where his power isn't one punch KO style, a lot of guys will now spend the first round trying to wear him down grappling wise and remove his main weapon.

Conors fights have been televised since he was in Cage Warriors so how come he managed to win in the UFC and keep winning?
It's not like any of his UFC opponents didn't have access to video of him.

Styles make fights, Khabib is a bad match up for him. Eddie was only 1 fight ago. If Conor keeps losing it'll be because his opponents exploit his weaknesses and not because they avoid his strengths. How do you avoid a counter left other than to take him down and keep him down anyway.

Conor will have a hard time winning now because he's basically a walking, talking meme. His trash talk will seem utterly ridiculous now and will be completely ineffective. While he was winning and finishing everyone his trash talk worked but now it will be looked at as a joke. The mental warfare was a bit part of his game and now it's gone.

Conor is just over rated but was marketed and matched up well. Couple that with angry, lunging head first Aldo and the rest is history. It was a fun ride but its over.

Seriously though hes a shot fighter.
Floyd damaged his brain and he never shouldve came back. Khabib took what was left of him. I hope he retires.

Wow, so much hate for Conor. The guy lost ONE mma fight to the current Champ. His last fight he was knocking out the reigning champ.
He will be fine. Khabib is a monster fpr anyone AND he happens to be a monster that utilizes all the skills that Mcgregor is weak against. Styles make fights and Khabib was the worst style for Mcgregor.

Mcgregor will get back to winning if he continues to fight. Haters gonna hate.

Full props to Khabib though. Hes got my hespect.

True greats have all faced situations like this and overcame that. The best of the best are aware of this and find ways to evolve and stay on top for a long time.

This is also a reason why I value those fights a champ is "supposed" to win. Everyone can be dangerous. True greats have to evolve and stay aware of the dangers everytime. Getting too cocky can get you beat by a nobody.

That's also why I said many times on here that the real legacy work starts when you have arrived at the top. So many have become champ. But very few have been able to stay on top for a long time. Even for unbeaten Khabib this has just begun. If he retired now or within the next few fights his career would feel unfullfilled.

Conor's road since becoming champ has been quite bumpy. It takes huge effort to make it. Right now it seems he will not enter that area that only very few have entered. He is still a great fighter and a legend. His resume is awesome.

But this is exactly what separates guys like GSP, Fedor, Anderson, Jones, Aldo and Mighty Mouse from the rest.
