Strange how this movie brings out petty racism disguised as lame attempts at comedy.

Already a few examples in this thread.

BP was great. I actually thought it was so-so when I saw it in theatres but it grew on me big time when I rewatched it.

The suit is great, I love their tech. I love all the tie-ins for Wakanda/BP that have appeared in the MCU.

    No brainer.

Now get some help for the action scenes and last spend more money on the CGI. (no more rhinos they looked silly)

yawn. I saw BP for the first time a week ago on Netflix. Needless to say, it was underwhelming.

I'm stoked! I heard Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino might be in the sequel. That would be dope!!!

Also, I feel like they need to introduce the fantastic 4 in this one like they introduced BP in a Fantastic 4 comic.

Coogler can direct and create a great story, but I'm hoping he gets a way better CGI team on staff this time around. The last act was pretty bad when it came to the CGI.

First movie was really bad imo, so this isn't very exciting.

I really wanted to like it. All of the good reviews and press had me excited. So when my wife and I finally got a chance to watch a movie we put it on. 35 minutes in and we looked at each other and were like, is this really boring?

So we put on an episode of Australian Survivor. lol.

i dont think it was bad, i just think considering all the hype and success, it didn't live up to nearly all that hype. i watched it well after it became the biggest movie of all time and all i kept thinking is why? well, i know why, but it was just ok

As a comic nerd who holds Black Panther in the highest regard I felt the movie not only didn't do the character justice, it didn't meet the standard set by its MCU predecessors. A lot of my initial reactions to these movies are usually a little extreme, but I've watched this movie twice and it was bad both times. I can pick pretty much the entire movie apart.

i watched it knowing absolutely nothing about the comic, so maybe that gives me a better perspective judging the movie on its own merits? again, i dont think it was bad, but it certainly wasnt the best comic book movie. but hell, i still get confused between who is dc and who is marvel. but it probably is better watching something like this not knowing every little thing they mess up from the comic

I hope man like Forest Whittaker is in that movie so he can say BLEK PENTHA again even if it is from heaven or wherever Black Panther linked up with his dad.

Yea I guess you're right. They only made it to the top 5 grossing movies of all time with the first one, but you didn't like it so clearly they need a clean slate. Heck, they should consider rebooting the whole thing. Wait like 5 years and try again.

Maybe they'll get it right next time.

Considering they unnecessarily killed off both Killmonger & Klaue, I have a hard time picturing an antagonist that would be more enticing than Namor the Submariner.

Would be a great way to introduce mutants into the MCU as an appetizer for a possible X-Men homecoming. T'Challa's story isn't right without Storm if you ask me.

If we're going the super all-black cast again, we need Mahershala Ali in the bish!

I kind of agree, but I hope that Coogler will improve from the last movie. Also, if there was a switch now, there would be uproar.

GOTG crushes BP.. But it crushes the Avengers even harder.

I thought Black Panther was a solid B, while Avengers was B-.

Yep. Both those characters should have been incapacitated, but left alive. They should have left Killmonger alive for the face-turn ala Nebula.
